STOP MESSING UP YOUR SPIRITUAL VALUES, ETHICS AND DISTINCTIVE TENETS OR WAY OF LIFE FOR THE ONGOING CRISIS IN NIGERIA
Christians are known for their meekness, lovingkindness steadfast love most importantly their Christ-like style of living; remember the disciples was first called this name in Antioch just because they saw Christ in them! This Christ way of life makes Christian different from other people living on this planet Earth.
Bringing down your value, ethics and distinctive way of life sincerely devalues or molests you and will make you enemies of God yourselves at the end of your race on earth!
Christians do not fight for God as some muslims are doing through what they called Jihad; for we believe the battle is the Lord's not ours!
I am talking about Christians that are not just Christians by birth alone but by new birth in Christ Jesus!
We believe in the Bible and ipsissima verba Jesu; I am talking of the right words spoken by our Lord and Master Jesus Christ Himself that we must seriously take cognisant of.
The Word of God says: When the ram’s horn blows a warning, shouldn’t the people be alarmed? Does disaster come to a city unless the Lord has planned it? Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets. Amos 3: 6,7
So let me quickly give you warning I've received through this Bible verses to you! Who told you the Lord didn't know about what's going on presently in this spoiled country called Nigeria? Instead of you people going back to this sovereign Lord for guidance, you're doing it your own way, have you forgotten God's way is not your own way. And this is one of the reasons many Christians stay long in the battle of life confronting them. They permitted flesh to be driving them instead of being led of the Spirit of God.
This Bible verses explain to us that God knows about every disaster that visit a city and that He never permit such disaster to happen without revealing it to His servant the prophets. So failure to recognize His sovereignty over everything that happens on earth cut you off of His chosen servants that He will reveal what He's planing to do to. Therefore, change your way of life to represent the dispensation you belong to, for you to shine on time. Be a discerner of time and stop wasting your life! Always remember the time of Elijah and Eliza have gone and gone forever. You won't succeed in this dispensation of grace with the spirit of Elijah, no, never, you will have to tell God to send you back to their time before you can succeed ministerially unless you permit the Spirit of Christ who is the only Spirit in operation in this present time of grace!
During the time of Elijah and the rest, you can kill, curse and even destroy people with anything you like even with your anointing or skelter of authority but since the time of John the Baptist, things have changed in God's kingdom on earth. You take kingdom by force and your holiness must exceeded that of the Pharisees and if you're a good Bible students you must know what that means; old things passed away, new life begins. So what do you think that new life is all about? The Spirit of Grace that save you is still in operation and ever willing to save those that hurts you badly, that you want to be cursing!
The Spirit of Elijah didn't experienced fruit of the Spirit while the Spirit of Christ is the merciful giver of eternal life and Fruit of the Spirit.
Now listen to the giver of the Spirit of Grace and the establisher of this dispensation of Grace Himself:
Invoke blessings upon and pray for the happiness of those who curse you, implore God’s blessing (favor) upon those who abuse you or revile, reproach, disparage, and high-handedly misuse you. (AMP) Luke 6:28
Can you hear that? So who gave you that Spirit that always like to curse those who offended you and to repay evil for evil? I know if you will be sincere to yourself, you will tell me it's the dictation of the flesh led by the adamic nature in you that possessed our forefather through the fall that was masterminded by the devil!
I heard some of you raining curses on those who have cause pain and tragedy on us as a nation. Read the above text again and speak sense to your senses. Christians never curse, we bless, that's what our Christian faith in Christ demands!
Better change your ways of life if you want to reign with Christ you profess to be your Lord and Master. He always warns but most of you won't listen, “if you love me, keep my commandments" is demanded by the Master. John 14:12. Your salvation has a k-leg when you always do against the Christ tenets or principles of living.
Invoke God's blessings upon those who curse you and implore God's favour upon those who high-handedly misused you is the command of the Master to you!
Who do you think you are? Do you have power of your own? The One who is our model on how to live a perfect life that is pleasing to God is teaching you this and you're going your own fleshy and carnal way, devaluing yourselves in the presence of the atheists. You went to the social media to rain curse on people and you still have the grudge to tell the whole world you're a man of God and that you will block those who remind you of the Word of your Master on how to live well. Better delete those stuffs that are not in support of Christ Ethics and apologize to your Master before he teaches you sense in a very hard way!
Most of you that refuse to follow Christ principles are proving to be wiser that your Master which is very dangerous to your spiritual health.
Jesus' doctrines or teachings poss a tremendous challenge to our natural way of life, you must be superhuman to live this kind of life. That's the essence of having the Spirit of Christ and permitting his fruit to operate in you! Going through the centrepiece of Jesus' messages while on earth, He teaches that we should extend His unconditional love and precious life of His, to everyone in deeds, not only in our confession. Most of you will be shouting I love you all around without showing in your deeds or attitudes. it's just only words of mouths. How many enemies have you killed with your prayers, come and tell us, you're only polluting spiritual weapon by using it for your carnal and fleshy needs.
Listen to this Truth: Until love translates into what you do on daily basis, it remains a mere disposition of the mind.
It is very bad and hypocritical saying, you love your neighbour with no action to back it up. It makes your profession in Christ meaningless and worthless.
Jesus doctrines and teachings are the opposite of what your world is teaching, it's different entirely!
Your world teaches you to love those who love you and do good to those who cherish you and your Master teaches you to love your enemies and bless those who curse you
Your world teaches you a tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye, your Master teaches you to turn your left cheek to anyone who slapped the right one. When they forcefully took your shirt willingly offer them your coat, tóo. It's time for you to go and learn from the Master's feet from Matthew chapter 5, all the teachings here are totally contrary to the understanding of the people of the world who believe in tit for tat.
Jesus' command here to love our enemies is a call to overcome selfishness and a call to live transformed life. You will never meet these requirements as a natural man. Loving your enemies and doing good to those who maltreat you without the tendency to retaliate will be totally impossible, if you're not filled with the Spirit of Christ to start showcasing the fruit of the Spirit. Loving one another or our enemies can never be achieved without the Holy Spirit of Christ indwell us
That's the reason why these instructions are only for those whose lives have been transformed by the Spirit of Christ. This will let you know that confessing Christ as your Lord and personal saviour is not the end of the Christian Life you determined to live. It takes well transformed and broken life to live a Christ-like life.
There are stages in Christian Life:
When you give your life to Christ.
When Christ accepted you.
When you're filled with the Holy Spirit.
When you're continually washing yourself with the Word for continuos purification and submission to the total will of Christ Jesus by counting your cost, carrying your cross, denying yourself and following Him. That's discipleship which simply means followership. Follower never go against the commandments of His Master.
The Lord Jesus Christ stressed some facts in Luke 6: 32-35 that indicates that loving our enemies is mandatory and not optional.
As I've said earlier, He made a comparison between the lives of sinners and believers meaning that our righteousness must exceed theirs in other to be His channels through which others will see Jesus in this decaying generation
Let me tipped in some facts from our recent Sunday School Lesson of Sunday, 11th October, 2020 (NBC):
“He said, what will be our credit if we love, do good and lend to those who love us, and those from whom we expect repayment? Because sinners do likewise without expecting anything in form of gain. In other words, our actions and kindness must exceed the activities of sinners to attract rewards. Again, He repeated the command to love our enemies, do good to them and lend without expecting anything back (v. 35). Similarly, in Matthew chapter 5:42, Jesus said, “When someone asks you for something, give it to him; when someone wants to borrow something, lend it to him."
Who do you want to follow, what your world dictates or your Master's Commandments
Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:12,13 that We work wearily with our own hands to earn our living. We bless those who curse us. We are patient with those who abuse us. We appeal gently when evil things are said about us. Yet we are treated like the world’s garbage, like everybody’s trash—right up to the present moment.
This verses revealed how Apostle Paul and his evangelical team members put into practice what they learned from the feet of Christ their Master. When is this spiritual virtue be part of your own life's pattern or experience? This is Christ-like Compassionate Heart, infact you can't succeed in the work of evangelising the world without this kind of heart!
Sincerely speaking, you need Christ-like compassionate heart towards all men including your haters to really showcase our Master Jesus to your world. Because if you don't work out your spiritual life to love all men including your persecutors you're denying the power of the Gospel to save to the uttermost; meaning that the gospel power has not save you totally!
Verse 20 of the above Bible passage teaches us that the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power. Most Christians misinterpret this verse, they taught it's talking about demonstration of power of God while ministering, no, that's a great error, reading it in context the writer is talking about the power that makes one godly, that is, moral power and excellence of soul. The power that transform you to supernatural being like Jesus Christ Himself.
When you have this power you won't be able to curse your enemies again, you won't be able to tell lies, fornicate, angry or do what your fleshy desire dictate to you again. The kingdom of God is not just a lot of talking but in demonstration of godly characters that our Master Jesus Christ taught and demonstrated for us while on earth.
Let me bring my admonition home with this vital Truth: when you fail to learn and embrace all these teachings or doctrines of Christ about morals you are automatically in the category of those the Bible admonished real believers in Christ to stay away from because your mere confessions of Christ as your Lord and Saviour will make you to look religious and have a form of godliness while your total refusal to adhere to Christ teachings on moral behaviours will cause you to deny the power of Christ that really makes godly. And your continuing to do this will eventually make you God's enemy, therefore, be warned!
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:5 KJV
They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! 2 Timothy 3:5 NLT
Turn away and embrace Christ teachings on moral behaviours if you're sincerely Christ follower! Stop looking godly and denied the power of Holiness! It kills and disastrous! Let people of your world begin to see Christ in you even before you talk and preach the gospel to them! Abide by the teachings of the One who have overcame the world to be a Walking Bible, Jesus Show Glass and Living Epistle!
